Vehicle Description This is a great driving car is owned by a local collector who has loved and cared for it but now must find a new home for it.
Below is the consignor's detailed description:
This 1971 Alfa Romeo 1750 GT Veloce is cleaned, restored, and fully repainted in Alfa Romeo Raspberry, with black interior.
It is equipped with a 5-speed manual transmission, four-wheel disc brakes, new single exhaust outlet, Jaeger dash gauges, three-spoke racing steering wheel, center console, pop-out rear quarter windows, quad headlamps, chrome bumpers, manual-crank windows, side mirrors, American Racing wheels wearing Michelin tires, jack, and a full-size spare tire.
In addition to the equipment, this 1750 GTV comes with the owner's manual booklet, manufacturer's literature, and service receipts dating from November 1973.
After searching for a year, I bought this car almost two years ago to restore and keep it for a long time.
I refurbished and cleaned up the car keeping its classic look as much as possible, with small modifications to give it a new edge look.
Due to personal reasons I need to sell this beauty.
Engine is in perfect condition with excellent compression on all four cylinders.
Transmission is smooth with no issues.
This car has an original Zierarteo under body rustproofing, when I bought the car, it had rust only under the door and lower part of the front and back fenders on both sides.
All rusted parts were totally removed and replaced.
(Have before and after photos of the body) Originally this car was gray, at some point it was painted Burgundy red, and I chose to re-paint it in Alfa Romeo Rasbery.
It has turned out to be a beautiful color for this car and body style.
I get a lot of nice comments on the choice of color.
Both front seats, and back side of the back seat are reupholstered.
Lots of rubber parts are replaced.
Dash has new cover.
New battery, and exhaust system.
All interior parts were removed, and interior was washed and cleaned.
All lighting was reinstated and rebulbed.
Front Fog lights and head lights are replaced with modern lights.
Old front signal lights are replaced with modern separate lights.
Everything in the car works and is in good condition.
This car was designed by Giorgetto Giugiaro, who was working for Bertone the famous Italian car design firm and it is just a masterpiece.
It is a joy to drive this car.
It has personality.
It likes to be played with.
Get in, fire me up, and let's get out there and have some fun.
The car has an attitude.
Handling, agility and driving characteristics are delightful, and the new exhaust will produce absolute music.
