The responsibilities include assisting with groceries, transportation, income, and housing goals, and supporting basic needs.
Additionally, this role will contribute to developing clients' independent living skills, offer conflict resolution, and crisis intervention while fostering a fair, positive, and supportive culture.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities Assisting the Supportive Services Supervisor with enrollments of program participants, including inspecting guest belongings and orienting guests to the program expectations and guidelines.
Provide supportive services assistance to all guests, such as purchasing groceries or supplies, transporting clients to appointments and services, assisting in accomplishing income and housing goals (using the computer, making phone calls, etc.
), and supporting basic needs (clothing, hygiene products, medication refills, etc.
).
Assist the SSS in providing instruction, counseling, and assistance to develop clients' independent living skills (i.
e.
, navigating transportation systems, budgeting, room care, personal care, cooking, nutrition).
Provide conflict resolution and crisis intervention as needed, always aiming to maintain a fair, positive, and supportive culture.
Logistics Coordinators are expected to model positive methods of problem-solving, respectful communication, and self-restraint.
Monitor and document guest compliance with program rules and guidelines and provide day to day accountability for all expectations by supervising guest activities, conducting room inspections, supervising the program schedule and use of supplies, and meeting with guests individually to provide clarification, instruction, and assistance as needed to increase their independent living skills.
Model personal behaviors that reflect the life skills we expect of our guests.
Communicate pertinent program information through daily written logs.
Participate in monthly staff meetings and case conferencing, as requested.
Maintain professional, positive, and cooperative relationships with staff, partnering agencies/hotels, and community volunteers who provide services and support to the program.
Complete other tasks as requested by the program team.
Supervisory Responsibilities This position does not have any supervisory responsibilities.
Requirements and
Qualifications:
Experience and/or credentials working with individuals with severe and persistent mental illness, substance use disorder, or other disabling conditions.
Direct service experience preferred.
Reliable transportation and valid driver's license, registration, and insurance.
Comfortability transporting program participants in personal vehicle.

Proficient computer skills, especially Microsoft Office 365 programs.
Must be comfortable working in a Housing First and Harm Reduction setting.
Knowledge of mental health and substance abuse preferred.
Environmental & Physical Requirements Shelter / Field Non-Sedentary Requirements The employee must be able to perform the essential functions of the job.
Work will be performed in shared spaces within the shelter environment and will involve interaction with program guests out in the field.
Typically requires the ability to spend 66%
hours each workday doing the following activities:
stand for extended periods of time, walk, bend, stoop, or climb.
May require the ability to lift and/or push up to 25 pounds 33% - 66% of the time.
Driving a personal vehicle and utilizing personal vehicle to transport guests during work hours is required.
